Picture a teammate making space, a pass into an open lane and a chance on goal. That connection between your decisions and the rest of the team is central to Championship Soccer 2026 (3D). Whether you play one position, control the whole team or manage from the touchline, there is plenty to explore, even if you have not followed every change note.
On the pitch, CPU teammates offer more support during build-up and attacks. They look for forward passes earlier, including to a human-controlled player, and consider routes towards goal when they receive the ball. Changes to shot selection and direction, crosses, runs into space and corners aim to turn more of those moves into chances. Teammates should combine more naturally around the ball carrier. We are working towards an attacking game in which a goal can grow from the decisions of the whole team. Which passages of play stand out to you?
There is more room for your own ideas, too. Independent aiming lets you direct a pass or shot while charging it, without changing your running direction. Movement, reactions and aftertouch have been refined, with settings to suit your style. Team and position instructions let you favour either wing, the centre or half-spaces, encourage overlaps, and tune pressing, shooting, aggression and the defensive line. Confirmed changes take effect during play; substitutions follow at a stoppage. Optional match panels give managers quick access to tactics, while a timeline lets you revisit key moments and return to live play. The tactical system is still experimental, and we would like to hear how your approaches work.
The career game has grown alongside the 3D matches. In a world of 4,000+ clubs and 80,000+ players, play a single footballer, become a player-manager or build a club over many seasons. Hire staff, scout talent and negotiate transfers, contracts and loans. Managers and player-managers build a lasting reputation through results. Club previews show lineups and competition for your position; playing-time forecasts, coach feedback, transfer-window reminders and offer timing add context to decisions. In Contemporary player careers, you can approach a club yourself and express or withdraw your interest. A History tab shows league champions and cup winners by season, including results in existing saves. Competition and save improvements support long careers and custom worlds.
The integrated Team Editor lets you create competitions, clubs, players, staff and scouting data for a new career. It offers database copying, import/export, transfers, undo/redo and Lua-assisted bulk edits. It is still experimental and edits the starting dataset, not an existing career save. Your experiences creating and using custom worlds are particularly helpful.
Matches also have livelier group celebrations, improved weather, optional pitch wear, clearer manager-view labels and smaller replay videos. Replays are prepared after the final whistle to interrupt play less. Menus, graphics options and match timing have also been refined.
