Current Windows x64 builds can keep several community seasons, historical databases or custom football worlds side by side without replacing the installed game data.
Recommended installation
• Put one compatible package folder or ZIP directly in Documents\My Games\Championship Soccer\DataSets.
• Start a new career and choose it on the Career football world screen before Select Database.
• The original Championship Soccer world remains available.
• The optional package metadata file described in the manual can provide the visible package name, author, version and description.
• A successfully created career is self-contained. Moving or updating its source package does not rewrite that existing career.
Do not combine old file-replacement instructions with the current package workflow. Read the creator’s current first post, confirm the supported game build, back up your data and saves, and follow one package’s instructions at a time. Community packages are not official game releases; support and compatibility remain with their creators.
Sharing rules
• Share only material you created or are allowed to distribute.
• Do not include copied commercial databases, player photos, face scans, logos, kits or other protected assets without permission.
• Do not describe a community package as official, licensed, approved or endorsed.
• Do not use paid downloads, affiliate links or monetised link shorteners.
• Identify the creator, supported game version, contents and a support contact.

I've noticed that the computer generated results are a bit random, especially when strong teams play against weaker ones. The results are often unrealistic with the weaker team winning or drawing too easily (especially in league matches). I've also noticed that with the latest version (as now 2026.09.30.0) the goals scored are more realistic, making the strikers score less and more uniformed among all the other players in a team.
