Official guide: controls, remapping and match shortcuts

Championship Soccer uses movement plus one context-sensitive action. What the action does depends on possession, ball height, direction, timing and how long the button is held.

Classic defaults
• Move or aim: arrow keys, D-pad or left stick
• Context action: Shift or Ctrl, or the primary/south gamepad button
• Pass or shoot: hold the action to build power, then release; a quick press gives a gentle touch or short pass
• Pause: P or controller Start
• Instant replay: R
• Leave a match or replay: Esc
• Windowed/fullscreen: Alt + Enter
• Request a team substitution: F1 for the home team, F5 for the away team
• Speed up or slow down off-field progress: Page Up or Page Down while no human-controlled footballer is on the pitch
• Advance a skippable presentation or waiting stage: Space; it does not skip live play

Current Windows x64 builds also provide Classic, WASD and alternative arrow-key layouts plus keyboard and mouse remapping in the control settings. Existing careers retain the Classic assignments until you change them. Use the assignments displayed by your installed x64 build as the authority for a customised career.
